Alison Wiebalck BA LLB LLD Celta
Dr iur Alison Wiebalck holds a BA in English literature and linguistics and an LLB from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and a doctorate in international law from UNISA, South Africa. She has undertaken legal English teacher training in Cambridge, UK, and has an A-grade Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA).
Alison Wiebalck has been coaching legal professionals since 2004. Her clients range from attorneys in commercial practice in Zurich to lawyers at the Federal Office of Civil Aviation in Bern. In addition, she runs regular ILEC preparation courses at the Zurich Cantonal College of Further Education, and is currently co-coordinator of the Language of International Business Law at the University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur. In June 2011 Alison led a series of legal English sessions for members of the Zurich Bar Association.
She is a member of the English Teachers Association of Switzerland (ETAS) and national coordinator of the ETAS English for Specific Purposes special interest group, as well as a member of the European Legal English Teacher's Association (EULETA). Alison also runs regular workshops and teacher training sessions on teaching legal English.
Angela Eibner BD Dip Ad F Ed CTELF
Ms Eibner's qualifications include the B.D. from King's College, University of London; a Diploma in Adult and Further Education, University of Kent; the Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (CTEFL), International House, London, and the Certificate in Teaching English for Business from International House, Zurich.
Angela Eibner is an experienced teacher of English as a foreign language and a long-serving member of the English Teachers Association of Switzerland (ETAS). Apart from teaching, Angela is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in linguistics at the University of Reading.
Alison Wiebalck and Angela Eibner are both native British English speakers.
